The whole policy

Everything below is detail about how that works in practice. One thing below does qualify the sentence above, and it is the only one: a pack you have already made a party from is not refunded. Nothing else on this page takes anything away.

Why we can be this relaxed about it

You can build the entire game, play a full preview and see exactly what your child will see before you spend anything. Almost nobody buys the wrong thing, because almost nobody buys without looking first.

So if you did end up wanting your money back, something went wrong, and arguing with you about it would be a strange way to respond to that.

Making an account carries no charge either, so nothing you are refunded is a signup fee. The only thing this site ever charges for is a party, once.

How to ask

1. Email # from the address you paid with, or tell us which address you paid with.
2. Say roughly when you bought it. The Stripe receipt in your inbox has the date.
3. That is it.

We aim to reply within two business days and to process the refund the same day we reply.

How long the money takes

We refund to the original card through Stripe. Stripe releases it immediately; your bank usually shows it in 5 to 10 business days, which is out of our hands.

We refund the full amount, including any tax the checkout added.

What happens to your link

When we refund you, the licence to use the link ends. Please stop using it.

We will be honest with you about the mechanics rather than pretend. The whole game travels inside your own web address, and the page reads it from there. Nothing is fetched from us when it opens, so we have no technical way to switch off a link that is already in your hands. A refunded link may keep opening. We are relying on you here, and in practice that has been fine.

The same applies to a copy you saved as a file, and to your child's own device. What we can do is remove the entitlement on our side, so the party stops counting as paid for in your account.

After 14 days

The 14 day promise above is unconditional. After that we look at it case by case, and we lean towards saying yes when something genuinely did not work: the link would not open, the QR code would not scan, the game broke on your device, or you were charged twice.

A double charge is always refunded, whenever you spot it.

Packs, and the one thing we do not refund

A pack is one payment that covers more than one child's party. A party comes out of the pack at the moment you make it, not when you pay, which is the point of buying one: the second birthday can be months away.

A pack you have not used is refunded like anything else here, in full, inside the 14 days, no reason needed. The rule above starts at the first party you make.

We are not guessing at any of this. Our side records exactly which parties came out of which pack, so this is a count and never a judgement about you, and we will tell you what it says if you ask.

If that sounds harsh for a pack, it is worth knowing before you buy rather than after: build and preview the whole game first, which costs nothing and is the same game your child will see. And if you only want one party, buy one party.

There is nothing to cancel

The $39 is charged once. There is no subscription, no renewal and no card kept on file, so there is no future charge for you to stop and no cancellation for you to remember.

A pack is charged once in exactly the same way, as one payment, with nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. Making the second or third party from it costs nothing further.

A charge that should not have happened is always refunded, whenever you spot it: a second charge for the same party, a charge you did not make, or a charge for a link that did not work.

If you are holding a link from an earlier price, when we did sell a monthly one, the policy you bought under still applies to it. Email us and we will tell you what you are holding.

Your legal rights

This policy is what we offer on top of the law, not instead of it.

If you are in Canada, your rights under provincial consumer protection legislation are unaffected. If you are in the EEA or the UK you have a statutory 14 day right to cancel a distance purchase; because this is digital content delivered immediately, that right can be lost once delivery begins with your consent, but we honour the 14 days regardless, which is the point of this page. The one exception is the pack rule above, and it rests on that same principle rather than working around it: a party you have already made is content that has been delivered, with your consent, at the moment you made it.

Nothing here limits your rights in respect of content that is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

Chargebacks

Please email us before raising a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback takes weeks, costs us a fee, and gets you the same money more slowly than just asking would have. We have never refused a refund inside 14 days.
